Darwinism Controversy

Kirk Cameron, a well known actor, specifically for the ABC hit television show Growing Pains, recently spoke out about his religious beliefs and his conflicting issues with the idea of Darwinism, or evolutionism, being taught throughout colleges. It is true that Darwinism is being taught and has been taught in any biology class or anthropology class for years. And adversely religious practices are being banned from public schools everywhere. Cameron takes all this into consideration when he expresses his dilemma concerning this issue. He relates his statement to the considerable rise in those who believe in atheism and those who believe in Christianity. "Atheism has been on the rise for years now, and the Bible of the atheists is The Origin of Species. We have a situation in our country where young people are entering college with a belief in God and exiting with that faith being stripped and shredded. What we want to do is have students make an informed, educated decision before they chuck their faith." His statements really fired up many academic boards and those who do believe in evolution because he publicly critiqued their beliefs. Cameron along with Ray Comfort devised a plan to get their theory out by handing out free copies of their book on a college campus specifically targeting college freshmen.
I tried to include the video where Kirk Cameron talks about his theory but I couldn't get it to work so here is the link, it's very interesting so check it out.
And if anyone can tell me how to upload a video that would be great.

What Not To Bring To A Nightclub

From the Superbowl to the Slammer, Plaxico Burress receives a two-year sentence for criminal possession of a handgun. Burress became well know for his famous game winning touchdown in the 2008 Superbowl XLII which led the New York Giants to a 17-14 win over the New England Patriots. On November 28, 2008 Burress decided to go to a nightclub with a pistol tucked into his waistband; it's obviously the new dance craze. It is reported that the pistol began sliding down his leg, and in reaching for the gun he pulled the trigger... The bullet hit him in the thigh causing a minor flesh wound, nothing too serious. Maybe he was feeling threatened that night or maybe he was just trying to put a new edge on the "Stankey Legg"; either way carrying an unregistered, concealed weapon is still illegal. He was sentenced on September 22, 2009 and received his two year prison sentence followed by two years of supervised release. Not knowing what to expect in prison, as if prison is some surprising, new, mysterious place, Burress felt the need to hire a prison consultant to tell him what to expect and how best to spend his time in the clink. Burress will be eligible to play in the NFL again after his sentence has been served. And maybe the next time he goes dancing he'll leave the pistol at home.

Serena's Meltdown

Few will ever forget the latest US Open tantrum thrown by none other than Serena Williams herself. Her opponent Kim Clijsters put up a very tough and unexpected fight that Williams just could not beat. Clijsters won the first set 6-4 and was up 6-5 in the second set, which is when it all started. Williams was serving to stay in the match at 30-30, her first serve was clearly out which gave Clijsters a look at a second serve. The second serve landed in, but then two deadly words came from one of the linesman's mouth, "FOOT FAULT!" You could see the fury building, knowing that she had just given Clijsters a match point. Then she snapped and literally the beast was unleashed. She walked over to the linesmen and said something that caused her to lose another point, which happened to be the match point. Clijsters had won, advancing her to the finals. It's unclear what was said but it is thought that she told the linesmen "I WOULD KILL YOU!" Serena obviously strongly denied the accusations, however her plea didn't matter, she still lost. Now I don't know if you've ever seen the monster known as Serena Williams. At 5"9', with thigh muscles the size of bowling balls, and guns barely legal in the United States, she dominates any competition on the court, except when she foot faults. That poor little linesmen stood no chance at the end of Williams' raquet.
