It had been thought that a six year old boy, Falcon, was aboard a homemade helium balloon that lifted off the ground early Thursday morning in Fort Collins, Colorado. The family had been working on the balloon and on Thursday, Falcon got yelled at for climbing inside one of the compartments of the balloon. Apparently Falcon got scared and disappeared. Upon the launch of the balloon, the boy was nowhere to be found; it was thought that he was still inside the compartment in the balloon. His father, Richard Heene, freaked out. He called in the army, air force, national guard, police... all the stops. People that had seen the balloon said that they saw something fall from the balloon and believed that it might have been the boy. The police tracked the path of the balloon to the crash site, and the boy was no where to be found. Surprise surprise. The search continued for days and the search came up empty. When the search was about to be given up, the kid showed his face. He had been hiding in a cardboard box in the families attic. The whole act was thought to be a publicity stunt to gain attention to the families name. It didn't work. Looks like not all Falcon's fly.
Omg, This story could not get more ridiculous and I, like many other people in America were watching CNN and every other news stations that had coverage on this story. IF it was a publicity stunt, they sure had my attention, that's for sure.
ReplyDeleteFalcon said on live TV that "we did this for a show" which is what raises the question about weather or not this was real. I think the family just wanted the attention after getting a taste of fame when they starred on the show wifeswap.
